Q2: What do you make of the continuous mechanical issues occurring during airline flights? (Henry R., San Diego, Calif.)
Thanks for your question Henry. First, I am disgusted by the recent carelessness and incompetence demonstrated during the mishandling of our commercial aircraft. We are testing ourselves senselessly and need to reexamine the importance of added safety to our skies and not reduced! We cannot have tires falling off during takeoffs and doors blowing out in mid-air. Let’s stop cutting corners for the sake of profits and try much harder to remember what our taglines and mottos are supposed to stand for …
Q3: What book do you recommend reading soon?
Just wrapped up Burn Book by Kara Swisher (2023). Wow, what a ballsy effort by an equally ballsy lady with a vat of knowledge and experience! Ms. Swisher lets it all hang out in her 360-degree/ 40,000 ft. review of her encounters with many of the “most involved” players in Silicon Valley. Take a look behind the scenes with Kara and Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk – as well as a host of others!
Moreover, Kara leaves little doubt as to her impressions of certain others – all retrieved from personal notes and interviews during her extensive examination of the innerworkings of the tech business – as well as its eccentric insiders. In fact, thanks Kara for providing one of the most entertaining surprises I’ve come across recently: “The P:P Ratio Chart!”
Like her take or not, it’s hilarious if you ask me. Of course, you’ll have to read it to find out more!
